The NBA is back! And in anticipation of Tuesday’s announcement, we’re previewing the Eastern and Western Conferences. Touhou first. Analyze predicted win totals (courtesy of BetMGM), predicted records, and finishes within divisions. And, of course, some fantastic predictions ahead of opening night.

Atlantic Division:

  1. Philadelphia 76ers — 53-29 (expected wins: 50.5)

  2. Boston Celtics — 51-31 (expected wins: 54.5)

  3. Brooklyn Nets — 47-35 (expected wins: 50.5)

  4. Toronto Raptors — 45-37 (Predicted Win Total: 46.5)

  5. New York Knicks — 41-41 (expected wins: 38.5)

Comments and delusional predictions:

The Atlantic Division is one of the most competitive divisions in the East and in the NBA as a whole. Only four of the 15 teams in the Eastern Conference are predicting 50 or more wins. The Atlantic Division includes three of the four teams (Celtics, Sixers and Nets).

Sixers: The Sixers may not be the best team on paper, but Daryl Morey has done an exceptional job strengthening the Sixers in the offseason. A year ago he was on a 51-win team. James Harden healthy and rising star Tyrese Maxseythe Sixers have the highest value at +275 to win the division. Joel Embiid You should participate in campaigns like another MVP.I think Tobias Harris While it will disappoint fantasy managers in one-on-one leagues, it will continue to be useful in the rotisserie format this season. It depends on the willingness to give.

Celtics: The Celtics also turned heads in the offseason by picking up PGs. Malcolm Brogdonbut absent Robert Williams And Ime Udoka could cost him a regular season win. But the Celtics cannot be underestimated. Because they are likely to be in the top 10 in offensive and defensive ratings this season as well. We know the Boston mainstay is productive for fantasy managers — Jason Tatum, Jalen Brown, Marcus Smart When Al HorfordBut players like Derrick White and Grant Williams It’s a late pick that should remain fantasy-related this season as well.

Net: The Nets are arguably the best team on paper, but organizationally they compete with the Phoenix Suns for the NBA franchise’s “Hot Messe” list. on all accounts Kevin Durant When Kyrie Irving Promise to win in Brooklyn (for now), Ben Simmons Coming back is a huge boost for a team that has sorely lacked a defensive identity. will inevitably miss the game, and Durant has struggled with injuries over the past two seasons. But if they can weather the storm, they’ll be a far more dangerous team than last year’s team, who were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.

Joe Harris, Seth Curry When TJ Warren Microwave Bucket Getter As The Season Begins cam thomas It should be a good source of points and threes early on. His Nic Claxton at center provides bench depth for fantasy managers looking for blocks, steals, and high FG percentages.

raptors: Nick Nurse plays his starter for an insane amount of time. Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, Gary Trent Jr. When Scotty Burns, Congrats. The Raptors have plenty of talent to make the playoffs, but 46.5 wins is just too much for a team with so many starters in an 82-game season. Injuries are bound to happen and bench depth is unattractive.

Knicks: The Knicks finished 37-45 last year. It’s probably a valid argument to assume they’re going out of business because “Hey, it’s the Knicks” — they have the lowest winning percentage of any NBA franchise since 2000. But I think the market for the Knicks is too low this time around. I don’t expect a dramatic turnaround, but it’s a mistake to say that the win percentage is lower than last season. Jalen Brunson An underrated signing and his leadership and winning pedigree is why I rank higher than the Knicks. (along with Tyrese Haliburton and Tyrese Maxey).Overall, I think the Knicks have re-signed well Mitchell Robinson and bring in Isaiah HartensteinThey have young productions such as Immanuel Quickley When obi toppin, a person who flashed when given the opportunity. I think Julius Randle will be less of a main ballhandler. RJ Barrett Appears aggressively as a “man”. 500 for a midfield team this season.

Center:

  1. Milwaukee Bucks — 52-30 (expected wins: 53.5)

  2. Cleveland Cavaliers — 49-33 (expected wins: 46.5)

  3. Chicago Bulls — 42-40 (expected wins: 41.5)

  4. Detroit Pistons — 33-49 (expected wins: 29.5)

  5. Indiana Pacers — 25-57 (expected wins: 24.5)

Bucks: Milwaukee wins in a row. A year ago he had 51 wins, but 50 wins is a safe lower bound for his 2021 NBA championship. The roster is built for consistency, but I’m going to take the under as nothing overtakes me beyond 53.5 wins.It doesn’t help without them chris middleton He’s still recovering from off-season wrist surgery, so he’s starting the season.

outside of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jules HolidayMiddleton, and Bobby PortisI’m not keen on investing in Bucks players. Grayson Allen When Brooke Lopez It will be a streaming option in 10-12 team leagues, but otherwise may be a temporary streaming option.

cabs: Cleveland may actually lock again after trade with All-Star G Donovan MitchellI love this team from a fantasy and betting standpoint. Because they can play the pace and hold the defense. Caris Levert An underrated but sci-fi starting defender, Evan Mobley When Jarrett AllenI’m taking over with 46.5 wins and I believe 4 of the 5 starters (Darius GarlandMitchell, Mobley, and Allen) make the top 50 by fantasy value per game this season.

Bulls: DeMar DeRozan, Zach Lavigne, Nikola Vucevic A solid trio both offensively and defensively. According to Cleaning the Glass, the Bulls AyodomuLavigne, DeRozan, Patrick Williams, Bucevic gave opposing teams 142.2 points per possession in 65 possessions last season. This is a small sample size and would be very difficult to do. that Bad for the whole season. This team did nothing in the offseason to improve their chances in the challenging division. I avoid betting on their winning totals, but my waste is over.

When it comes to fantasy, preseason Williams looked good, but admits to being reluctant whenever he’s on the floor with DeRozan or Lavigne. and should shoot from the floor more frequently in his third NBA season. Alex Caruso He is also a steel specialist and must be registered in all leagues. Lonzo Ball It can not be used. oh apparently Andre Drummond Shoot a three now? What a time

[Still time to get in on the fun this fantasy hoops season: Create or join a league now!]

piston: It’s a new day in Motor City. Pistons head coach Dwayne Casey has a fun lad at his disposal. Cade Cunningham There was breakout watch in his second NBA season, and the Pistons surrounded him with players who could shoot and play around the rim. I like the prospect of hitting 30 wins, but this is a franchise that’s still rebuilding. I expect big things Saadiq Bay I think he will surpass his current 8-round ADP this season.

Pacers: Rick Carlisle is in his 21st season as an NBA head coach and has lost just five seasons. Sorry Rick, it’s almost the sixth time. The Pacers’ roster is made up of an exciting mix of young players and veterans, but they’re not shy about wanting to move Buddy Heald Also Miles Turner. We’ll see if or when that happens but as a guy with a lot of share Tyrese Halliburton, Jalen SmithWhen Benedict Maturin, would like to see the deal happen sooner or later. This team puts in a valiant effort most nights, but I don’t want to bet on their winning total.

Southeast:

  1. Miami Heat — 49-33 (expected wins: 49.5)

  2. Atlanta Hawks — 43-39 (expected wins: 46.5)

  3. Washington Wizards — 36-46 (expected wins: 35.5)

  4. Orlando Magic — 30-52 (expected wins: 26.5)

  5. Charlotte Hornets — 26-56 (expected wins: 34.5)

heatThe Heat haven’t done much to improve their roster since preseason, but luckily for them, no team in their division poses a legitimate threat to their reign. loss of PJ Tucker leaving voids in their frontcourts, Caleb Martin It could last an entire season, but this team are veterans who have proven they know how to win. Kyle Lowry The situation is still a little dark, Tyler Hero, Gabe VincentWhen Victor Oladipo Because the backup keeps them afloat. Rather than betting on their winning total, I prefer to bet -155 for them to win the division. Omer Uelzen He’s a beast every minute and a double-double threat every minute he gets, so he’s on my watch list in a 12-14 team format.

hawks: More questions than answers, so for now I’m going to under bet the Hawks’ win total of 46.5.Need to see more from the dynamic duo of Trae Young When Dejounte Murray Before you believe in the Hawks. Additionally, it doesn’t help if: clint capella When John Collins Trade rumors swirl consistently.

Young, Murray and Collins are all ready for a solid fantasy season, but I like it deandre hunter as a late target. His ADP is 147 and he has a lot to prove in his contract year. I expect him to be a fantasy asset other than scoring in his fourth NBA season.

Wizard: bradley beer Healthy and brought in by the Wizards Montemoris When Will Burton This offseason from the Denver Nuggets. On paper, this team is much better. Kristaps Porzingis If they can stay healthy (large), this team should outperform the market. I rely on his 35.5 wins for the Wizards. Because Biel is sick of losing and thinks he has a capable professional team surrounding him.

Morris is set to have his best statistical season as the Wizards’ new starting point guard. He is efficient, has low turnover, and averages five assists in his first season with Washington. Daniel Gafford is your man if you want a cheap source of Waver’s Block.

magic: I’m super excited heading into the regular season thanks to a team I didn’t expect to be excited about. This roster has so much fantasy charm Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner When Wendell Carter Jr.Flat cole anthony This is the player I was aiming for in the second half of the draft when I was injured. Jalen Saggs When Markelle FultzIf Suggs returns, Anthony will probably be gone, but the trio of Banchero, Wagner, and Carter above are the basic pieces that make a splash in fantasy this season. is.

Hornets: Charlotte’s topic has calmed down.while Miles Bridges confronting serious crimes and Lamelo Balls Left the Hornets with an ankle sprain. Terry Rozier He’s one of my go-to sleepers mainly because he consistently delivers 3 rounds of value despite going 2 rounds later in the draft.he doesn’t have much stock Gordon Hayward Also Kelly OubreHowever PJ Washington He’s likely walking into 30+ minutes of playtime each night, so you should have a breakout campaign.
