On October 11, as the sun was setting, Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh looked mesmerizing with the twinkling of lights and the glint of people’s eyes. Diwali seemed to come early for the thousands of devotees, spiritual leaders, artists and political leaders who witnessed India’s new Karkhand. This day is important not only for the religious significance of Mahahar to millions of people, but also for yet another milestone achieved in India on its way to a new cultural renaissance.
Nowhere in the world is the spirit of a cultural renaissance more pronounced than in India. The journey of preserving the culture, history and art of this country has taken on new shapes and forms since his 2014 when this government embarked on the restoration of places of worship. Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM) has repeatedly stressed the importance of “rebirth and renewal” of cultural and pilgrimage sites to reinstill a sense of nationalism among the people. jensewa (public services) and Jambagidari (general participation). Not only does this reassert cultural nationalism, it also accomplishes three important purposes.
First, in order to correct the historical wrongs committed under the rule of multiple invaders, the government is trying to unite the people and restore India’s cultural glory. From the development of Ram Mandir, Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor and Somnath Temple Complex, to the opening of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor to Shri Mahakaal Lok or Char Dham Pariyojana, the government has set a clear vision for Indian religion. Future — To reach the pinnacle of success, a country must proudly display its identity.Through this effort, our VedasUpanishads, Sutrasepics, and other scriptures are now universally recognized as true treasuries of scholarship.
Second, it is also an effort to recognize the role of sacred temples and sites in India’s long-running struggle for civilization. A good example is Ujjain, a place of pilgrims today, but it has survived a difficult past. In 1234, the glorious city was stripped of its spiritual symbolism by the Turkish invader Iltumiş. Mahakal’s temples were also ruined as a result of this destruction, marking a dark moment for Ujjain and devotees across India.
Since then, temples have been central to socio-cultural and economic progress. Gifted by Prime Minister Modi, the Mahakal Lok Corridor will not only perpetuate the rich civilization and culture, but also revitalize tourism in the state.
Third, cultural revival is also important to position India as a valuable cog in the effort towards peaceful coexistence of peoples around the world. The fact that India embraces her Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is her one family) philosophy ties nicely into India’s foreign policy. Promoting a crafty culture to harness India’s soft her power has proven useful both in mobilizing Pravasi Bharatiyas (non-resident Indians) and promoting India’s interests on the global stage. I’m here.
Campaigns to spread awareness of historical relics, recover stolen Indian artifacts, and global advocacy at UNESCO are all emblematic of India’s quest to earn its rightful place in the world order. Efforts are not limited to Indian territory. The redevelopment project of the Sri Krishna Srinath Temple in Manama, Bahrain and Prime Minister Modi’s laying of the cornerstone of the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi have strengthened bilateral ties. Similarly, the opening of Kushinagar Airport has boosted Buddhist itinerant tourism in India, attracting devotees from all over the world.
This reflects the beginning of a new era of thought that explores the relationship between faith and development. Modi has shown that India’s development need not mean moving away from culture. From rebuilding temples to building Pucca houses, the government promotes multifaceted stylistic advancements. The effort aims to awaken in the public a sense of patriotism, social awareness and a desire to strive towards a progressive India. Prime Minister Modi is far-sighted and understands that he cannot become a world power by abandoning his civilizational and cultural foundations. His new mission to India’s cultural renaissance is poised to succeed is made. Its impact is reflected in improving the quality of life of various communities and opening up new frontiers based on art, culture and history.
