Men's soccer battle to draw at UNC Asheville

Asheville, North Carolina The Longwood and UNC Asheville men’s football teams each picked up a point on Tuesday after a back-and-forth game that ended in a 2-2 draw.

How it happened:

Both Stevenson’s and Butcher’s goals were first goals of the year. Stephenson’s was his first since moving to Longwood.

Durand made four saves at the net. Three of them came only in the first half.

Stevenson also led the game with six total shots, two of which came in the frame.

Since Longwood joined the Big South in 2012, they’ve led the series 8-3-1 against UNC Asheville.
