Playtime: Storybook Theater Comes to Edmonds, Día de los Muertos Drawing Class

The smoke finally moved from our area after it rained and was thrilled. Transportation to and from school took longer than before, and for school dances, we even drove the necessary jackets and umbrellas. I don’t mind it and I’m looking forward to this time of year, but if you’re looking to burn some pre-nap energy or cheer on a little athlete, things are very different this weekend.

On Wednesday, November 2nd at 6pm, Sno-Isle will introduce the Wolves of the Northwest. This Northwest-focused online event is hosted by Faye Peebles, Education Coordinator at Wolf Haven International. Wolves are back in the Pacific Northwest after a long hiatus. The event answers questions about where wolves live, how they survive, and how they affect people in the Northwest. It is a protected area whose mission is to “protect and protect”. We traveled to Wolf Haven to celebrate a child’s birthday and it was an amazing day. We stood in absolutely pouring rain before we knew the residents of Wolfhaven were getting excited about the weather and roaming around their enclosures. All 4 of us recommend it. Unrelated to rainy day activities and library offerings, and a testament to the shift in perspective brought about by firstborns receiving emails from college, I am happy to share an internship opportunity.Girls on the Run of Snohomish The County is seeking two program interns for the Spring 2023 season.
