If you’re an Asian food lover, you’ll find over 50 Asian restaurants in Puerto Vallarta (based on local searches, at least). Both offer a wide variety of Asian cuisine and atmosphere. We have selected a few Asian restaurants that are popular with locals and tourists alike, but we encourage you to search and find an Asian restaurant that will satisfy your palate.
Yamada Sushi
Located in the heart of the romantic area, Yamada Sushi is one of our staff favorites.
The attention to detail from both staff and owners is amazing. As for the food, they are very generous with their portion sizes and take great care to make sure everything is extremely fresh.
We recommend the California tempura rolls, chicken, beef, shrimp hibachi and delicious beef teriyaki. For dessert, tempura ice cream is excellent!

bonito kitchen
If you love Asian fusion cuisine, Bonito Kitchen is for you.
The restaurant space itself is nice and you can enjoy great food and attention to detail. It has a beautiful patio and garden where you can enjoy the Vallarta weather, with occasional live music.

Their cuisine includes Asian fused with typical dishes from Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan and Korea. In recent years, we have also added fusion with Mexican cuisine.
Owner Francie Nguyen was the first to bring the taste of ramen to Vallarta. And it’s her other specialty, ramen, cooked from scratch in the modern Japanese tradition, with seasonings, fresh noodles, and delicious garnishes. Her three versions of soy sauce, tantan and vegetarian are really delicious.
Bonito Kitchen is a restaurant that explores and blends the common traits of Vallarta and Vietnamese cuisine, deepening our mutual love for bright, citrusy and spicy flavors.
With two locations in Puerto Vallarta, check out the one that’s right for you and visit.
Venustiano Carranza 512, Emiliano Zapata
De los Tules 525, Jardines de Vallarta
archie’s wok
Another Asian fusion option is Archie’s Wok. This is freshly prepared and authentic cuisine spanning the Pacific Rim from Thailand to the Philippines to China to Vietnam.
Traditional and contemporary dishes are served daily. We recommend the Curry Pasta, which is short ribs served with the famous seafood sauce and Chiang Mai sauce.
The menu is truly potpourri, combining ingredients from the Pacific Islands, Asian cooking techniques, fresh ingredients from Mexico, and other cultural and culinary influences.
Locally sourced produce includes a variety of vegetables, herbs and spices such as kaffir lime, galanga, lemongrass, ginger, chilies, tamarind and coconut milk. They are native to both Asia and the coast of Mexico.
Arches Wok is just steps away from the pier on Los Muertos Beach and is the perfect place to gather with friends and family. Enjoy lunch and dinner in this sublime setting with an Asian-style dining room and garden.
